Team
Kit Tempest-Walters
Kit Tempest-Walters is the CEO and Founder of 5Head Games. He holds a PhD in the philosophy of time from the University of London and is a published author. He has over a decade of chess coaching experience, achieving an online expert rating. Kit has built a social media following of over 200,000 chess and gaming enthusiasts and leads product design and marketing. Through coaching and creating educational content, he saw how difficult it was for players to improve without friction and founded 5Head Games to eliminate the barriers to entry for mastering strategy games.
Colton Botta
Colton is a Founding Engineer at 5Head Games and a computer scientist and researcher, currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on Generative AI in Education. He graduated as Valedictorian from NC State with a BS in Computer Science and was named a 2021 Marshall Scholar. Colton's academic journey includes a Masters in Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh and an MPhil in Engineering from the University of Cambridge's Machine Learning Group. His professional experience spans multiple SWE roles at Pendo.io and IBM.
Jake Henderson
Jake Henderson is a Founding Engineer at 5Head Games and a Software Engineer and M.S. candidate in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, holding a B.S. in Economics from NC State. He has experience developing large-scale systems and data analysis platforms at IBM Cloud and SAS Institute. A lifelong games enthusiast, Jake's passion for strategy led him to study game theory at NCSU, with a focus on self-balancing, mixed-strategy games. In his free time, Jake applies his skills in Rust and WebAssembly to create browser-based programs, including neural network inference.
